Groove, hip hop, jazz are just some of the sound matrices explored by musicians who, alien to the concept of limit and definition, It dribbles beats and beats in search of a sound space that transcends the musical genre and that opens windows on unexplored worlds and hyperbolic dimensions.
The pianist Rupert Cox is now a reference point for the new London jazz currents. Luiz Vinoza and Luca Zennaro have recently created a prominent space in the new generation of Italian and European jazz.
Michelangelo Scandroglio, barely twenty years old, is already considered one of the most important promises of Italian Jazz. He was one of the winners of the Riga International Jazz Bass Competition, he won the Tomorrow’s Jazz award announced by Veneto Jazz as best Italian talent. In 2019 he won the Conad Jazz Contest of Umbria Jazz and was awarded the first prize by Paolo Fresu. He is second in the Top Jazz 2020 of Jazz Music as the best talent of the year, in 2021 he won the Getxo International Jazz Competition in Bilbao. In 2022 he was selected as the only Italian artist for the prestigious Betty Carter Jazz Ahead program at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.
