The Filthy Six son la banda de Soul Jazz más excitante y auténtica de Inglaterra, con la reputación de uno de los mejores directos de la escena. Su poderosa combinación de Jazz, Funk Y Boogaloo continúa la tradición de los artistas del sello Blue Note en los 60´s como Lou Donaldson, Cannonball Adderley, Grant Green y Jimmy McGriff, satisfaciendo por igual a los fans de la música de baile y a los amantes del Jazz.
El sexteto está formado por algunos de los mejores músicos de Londres quienes trabajan habitualmente con artistas como Tom Jones, Amy Winehouse, Duran Duran, Jill Scott, Mark Ronson, Basement Jaxx, Pee Wee Ellis, Madness, David Axelrod, Spiritualized, Mercury Rev, Ian Brown, Duffy, Mumford & Sons, 4Hero, JTQ, Graham Coxon, Hard-Fi, Richard Ashcroft, Ed Harcourt, Bobby Wellins, Heritage Orchestra y Nostalgia 77.
En los últimos años han llevado su directo a programas de radio como el programa de Mark Lamarr – God’s Jukebox – en, BBCRadio2, o en el Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show en la BBC 6Music, festivales en London, Marlborough, Greenwich, Ealing, Reading o Isle of Wight, Vintage at Goodwood, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Glastonbury, St Paul Soul Jazz Festival…. Nick y Mark además se unieron a los New Mastersounds en su concierto en el Festival de Jazz de New Orleans.
El año pasado estuvieron en Tempo presentando su disco homónimo, esta vez nos presentarán su 2ª album “The Fox” ambos grabados para el legendario sello Acid Jazz Records .
